What We Like About The Montpelier Table top Water Fountain
This fountain provides all the benefits of a larger model, but takes up half the space. Three slate tiles are held together by rivets, while being lit from above by a low wattage bulb. Water pours down the slate and brings out more color, while adding an element movement. Two copper pipes travel up the sides of the fountain and support the facade. You can place river rocks in the fountains basin where they increase the natural stone coloring and prevent splashing. The Montpelier Table Top Water Fountain is the perfect size for indoors.

I am extremely happy with this choice. I set the unit in the den and find it very relaxing with just enough flowing water sound with little or no interference from the motor. The unit has an excellent appearance and the light provides illumination that makes the entire unit very pleasing. I intend to purchase different units for the bedroom and sunroom. Having searched many other sources for fountains, I can find no other source that meets your prices. If I were to mention issue that was not the best it would be the assembly. It is very difficult to get the pump attached to the piping and have it stay in place while the base is installed on the reservoir. I had to use some Teflon tape to make the connection more secure. All in all would recommend this fountain to others.

We like the design and the lighting. It looks just like the picture, but the trickling water is almost too quiet. All we hear is the pump which is soft in sound too.

I looked at several tabletop fountains and they all seemed so cheap. This is quite nice. The directions could have been better, however.

Overall I am very pleased. I have been looking for some time for a fountain that fit several criteria: fit in my space without being too small (most fountains are either much larger or smaller than this one; I needed something that would fit within a 24" vertical); has nice ripple effects as the water runs down the surface of the fountain; has nice, but not distracting water noise; has an attractive upper light that shines down, illuminating the water running down (some fountains have lights, but look like they were added as an afterthought; others opt for light facing up, which I don't think work as well).This fountain has delivered quite well on all of my criteria.The one problem that I did run in to was that the plastic tie which holds the gasket tight in the reservoir (to prevent leaks) was not put on correctly, so I had a slow leak the first time I used it. This was inconvenient, but easily fixable. I just loosened the tie and then reapplied it (having two people is helpful: one to hold the end of the tie with pliers and one to tighten the tie with pliers). It has worked perfectly since.There is a little splashing when I first turn it on each day, but once the water gets flowing there is no more splashing.At the time of my purchase the price that I paid at NetShops was very good for a fountain of this size and quality.I use this fountain in my office. My clients so far have complimented it and have found the water sound pleasing but not distracting.I am enjoying it very much. :-)

This has turned out to be the perfect fountain for my husband's psychologist's office. it is quiet, yet pleasant and unobtrusive. Just the right size for a desk or on a small plant stand. We have it on a nice wooden box with a small piece of slate on it to set upon. Resin bottom, but hard to notice if not right next to it. Perfect among the floor plants. Nice down light as well.
