Hose off with water when dirty. In the winter it is strongly recommended to drain the water from the fountain. If the water is left inside and freezes the fountain will crack.

This is the BEST tabletop fountain! I had purchased one at a store in 2007. That fountain finally died. I searched everywhere for a replacement--couldn't find it (I didn't know the name at the time). I finally found "Osa" on the internet at "Simply Fountains"! I was so excited!! I immediately ordered one for my home office. Today I am going to order one for my work desktop! It has wonderful "chi" energy, is very soothing and relaxing.

Fountain easy to assemble and use. Runs very quietly - almost too quiet (sometimes don't even hear water running.) Multicolor light display was more "circus like" than I expected and would prefer, but was willing to live with it. Light died the first day of use. Called manufacturer immediately and representative kindly offered to replace the light under warranty. I asked her to send me instructions for replacing and caring for light (which is a separate mechanism from the pump itself), explaining that fountain instructions offered no such information within its original packaging. Representative offered to email me the instructions. She sent me the same instructions that came with the fountain (which I had told her I already had!) - and, again, no mention of the light. I have made a second request for instructions without any reply. I received the replacement part (NO instructions provided within the shipment) and examined the fountain's construction to figure out how to replace the light. The only way to replace this light is to break open the fountain since you cannot gain access to the light component any other way. Now I need to call manufacturer again. I will be requesting my money back. Highly disappointed in product and customer service. If you can live without the light, it's a lovely fountain. I, on the other hand, expect the entire fountain to work since that's what I purchased.

    We got this fountain to have a drinking option for our cats which is more fun to look at than the usual pet fountains. We are very pleased! It was easy to set up, and all we hear is the rippling water. The kitten took to it right away. It's a night light, too. The open design means it's easy to clean, important for our cat use.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      Very nice product. The illumanated spinning ball at top serves as a night light. Beams from the ball reflect on the ceiling and are not garish but very subdued and pleasant. This is my second fountain purchase (my first from this company) and I was amazed at how quiet the motor was. The only problem was the instructions called for setting the pump speed at maximum consequently the streams coming out did not make the relaxing driping sound. I reduced the speed and placed some small stones around the drip openings to get the effect I wanted. Its in my elderly mothers bedroom and she loves it.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          My co-workers come to my office for the peaceful environment this fountain creates. It seems to be sturdy and functions well. When I first plugged it in, I thought it was going to be a noisy motor, but it quieted down quickly. Now all I hear is the gentle sound of water trickling - good for stress management. I wish this fountain had an in-line switch to turn it on and off. I have a hard time reaching the plug and outlet every morning and evening.

            Retutned it. What was sent, was not what showed on the picture on the web-site. Mine came in purple and green and ball on top glowed with changing rainbow on colors as it spun. Looked like some bab prop on a witches t.v. show. Not elegant, but very tacky.
