This low-voltage water pump uses solar power to filter the water and spout enchanting streams into the air. Lively fountain action will delight birds and make your yard or garden a more cheerful, relaxing place.
This fountain pump operates only in direct sunlight and has a flow rate of 40 gallons per hour in optimum conditions, which will keep water clean and adequately filtered. The solar panel does not store energy. If placed in a shaded area or under overcast skies, the fountain will not perform. Select from three different fountain heads to create your favorite water formation.
Fountain head, solar panel, pump, filter, and float are all included. Utilize the float option to use the pump in a deep fountain or even a pond. Leave the float option off for use in shallow applications.

Special Note: Solar fountains and bird baths require lots of direct sunlight to operate properly. Please be sure you have a sunny spot to place your fountain or bath.

It is recommended to use this pump with a depth of 3 to 6 inches, depending on the fountain head used. The diameter of the fountain or birdbath you place it in should be at least 12 inches to minimize overspray. The manufacturer suggests using this pump with a bowl or fountain with at least a 3-inch opening.

Received the second Sunjet about 3 weeks after returning the 1st one. This one came encased, where the first one was to be snapped together (which didn't work). The design of this one is much much better. It works great. Placed it in the birdbath and put the panel in the sun and it started immediately. I'm very happy having gotten one that apparently was redesigned from the 1st one I received. Thank goodness the company made things right!

the pump is not the exact one that came with my birdbath but it works and has a much higher spray which I like a lot better. The remote solar panel probably is best for more fountain time also.

The highest I get the spray to go is about 4 inches in the direct sunlight. To get this height you have to keep turning the solar panel directly towards the sun or else the water spray height is shortened, Not worth the price unless your looking for the water to trickle out

I placed it in a birdbath that was too deep for birds to enjoy and within minutes birds were sitting on the edge playing with the splashing water. it was easy to assemble and install and works as indicated.

I bought this to replace a solar fountain motor I burned out. It worked even though the fit was not great for my fountain. I am thinking of getting another one for a different bird bath.

Received this fountain pump kit over two weeks ago for use in my birdbath. It does work however it is very flimsy, has a motor that probably won't last long, and was very difficult to continue operating once started (We used a toothpick to stimulate the rotation of the motor numerous times). At half the price this wouldn't be a good value - the price must be 100 times the cost of the parts! I'm keeping mine ONLY because it does work although I don't think it will last a month.

Q1: How high from bottom to top is the entire unit (pump, solar panel, and fountain head) when assembled and placed in the bird bath?
A: Once fully assembled, this is 6" tall.
Q2: What role does the 16 foot cord play on the pump?
A: The cord simply attaches the solar panel to the pump. There is no electrical involved. Thanks.
Q3: What are the minimum and maximum water capacities for the pump?
A: Recommened depth is 3" to 6" depending on the fountain head used. Diameter of birdbath should be at least 12",to minimize overspray.
Q4: Does the pump have an on/off switch?
A: No, there is no on/off switch, as it is solar powered.
Q5: Will this work with a fountain/bowl with an inch and a half opening?
A: The manufacturer suggests a minimum opening of 3 inches.
