About this fountain

The Smart Solar Mediterranean Scroll Solar Cascade Fountain is the perfect topper for your outdoor scheme: It's thoughtful, casual, and whimsical at the same time, offering a little lovely background noise and a natural look that feels totally at home. This rustic cascade-style fountain features a ceramic jug at the top, which tips water into four stepped bowls, all finished in a warm, natural brown with intricate hand-painted trim. The fountain is weather-resistant and powered economically with an included solar panel. Water recirculates through, creating a low, relaxing murmur all day long. It will function whenever it's in direct sunlight. If it gets cloudy outside, the fountain will stop, then resume when the sun returns.


Special Note: Solar bird baths and fountains require plenty of direct sunlight to operate properly. Please be sure to have a sunny spot to place your bath or fountain. Also, the pump must never be operated dry (out of water). Dry operation permanently damages the pump.

    There was a slight issue when putting it together. The metal bars that connect to the base did not line up very well so the bowls were uneven. I bent the pins on the base so that it was more even. Other than that, no issue with installing. We have it in a temp location that gets a lot of sun so we can gauge exactly how much sun is needed. Having a tiered design makes it have a lot more dripping noise which is nice. The bowls can be knocked out of place so you have to be careful.

    Would recommend in a area with little or no foot traffic.

      I set this up in my backyard by the fence..I love that it is solar powered, this gave me more options for placement. The frame is a be weak in design, the bowls don't sit just right in it but not a major problem for me and I gave one to a friend and we were able to get it set up easily and stablize it.

            If you want your fountain to run all the time during the day, you'd better be in a constantly sunny area. And the chord is not long enough to be able to put the solar panel on your roof for best sun. The directions for assembly are fairly easy, however, when you put the cable through the top ceramic jug, it takes some patience and effort to make sure you get the plug through the hole. It's not meant to just sit there on the outside of the jug as shown in the picture or the water will leak right through it. You've got to maneuver the cable and the plug on the outside of the cable to fit snugly in the hole of the jug - and it is VERY snug! Ceramic bowls are very attractive, but be careful while you're putting it together that you don't put the bowls in place until you have everything else put together (except the connection to the solar panel) or else you could accidentally break them. Make sure you put water in the bowls before you connect the wire to the solar panel so you don't burn up the pump. And it's not clear in the picture, but I think you're supposed to put the pump all the way down the side of the bowl so it's completely submerged.I'm glad I got it on sale - I don't think it's worth more than I paid for it, which was [$]. I can't believe other websites want over $100 for the same product.Enjoy!
