Hose off with water when dirty. In the winter it is strongly recommended to drain the water from the fountain. If the water is left inside and freezes the fountain will crack.

I've bought five fountains in the past and was never satisfied with any of them due to the noisy motor. This fountain made a bit of noise so I pulled the cord so the motor won't touch the level surface and that stopped the motor noise completely, except for trickling sound. I have it in my home and put some rocks in so soften the sound. The price of this product is perfect and so is the soft raindrop sound. This is my first review so you know you should definitely get one yourself.

lovely design, good size, and the price was right! We use it inside as a meditative aid, but we plan to move it out to the patio when we want, as it is light and portable. The sound was a bit loud for inside, but we took another reviewer's advice and placed seashells in the cups to soften the sound. All in all, this is a good fountain for the price.
