Looks great, although the "slate" isn't really slate, and the surface scratches easily, just from use (or trying thereof).
Doesn't perform at all.
We've had nothing but problems with the water just coming up through the nozzle. Having dealt with it the whole summer, e-mailing and calling back and forth, by now, we are sick and tired of this great-looking fountain. We just received a replacement nozzle (yes, a few days ago in mid-October), finally! But since the fountain has already been stored for the winter, we won't have a chance to see if it will work at all. As helpful as our contacts have been, nobody seemed to know how to help us. Although we were dealing with the fountain people directly, they didn't even know what parts we were talking about - it was a great disappointment. The instructions didn't explain some parts, and neither could our contact person.
Next year, we will set up the fountain, fill the top bowl with water, and use it as a beautiful birdbath. So much for wanting to enjoy a fountain in the flower bed in front of the house...

Placed the fountain in the front garden area and it looks great. Got a lot of compliments from neighbors. It really does look like a more expensive piece than it is.

Great looking!
However, the "slate" isn't really slate, but a poured "something" look-alike to slate.
The bowl and lid (upper reservoir) were immediately scratched, not by us during assembly, but from merely placing one over the other.
There was a slight snag with the pump - two end pieces (front cover & filter) either came loose or was shipped that way; we had to attach them. However, there were two small loose pump parts that we had no idea where they belonged. I contacted customer service, and was referred to the manufacturer. Have not heard back from them yet.
It would also be nice if one was told that it is advisable to use distilled water prior to purchasing the fountain.
We have not started the pump because it may be missing a part.

Fits perfect were we wanted to put it. Could not get the pump to stick to bottom. Suction cups did not hold to bottom of base. All in all it looks like a million bucks.
