We bought this fountain for a small bare corner next to our deck. It's shaded most of the time and the ground is very hard and difficult for planting. It turned out to be just what we needed for that corner. It has a very nice,pleasant sound and we love the lights. Our one dog went to it right away to get a fresh drink of water! It should look really pretty after we add new bark dust and decorating around it. Very happy we bought it, no disappointments.

Perfect size and looks great -- BUT, the fountain comes wired for the lights AND pump thus it comes with a rather large and heavy ac adapter transformer. We planned to use outside and plugging into the outdoor wall outlet was pretty much out of the question. Too large and even if you could plug it in, you would not be able to close the lid on the outdoor outlet and it would take up both plugs. Calls to the mft were unanswered as was an email to them. Also called Hayneedle customer service -- they were sympathetic but felt it was a problem with my outlet and thus return would be at my expense. They could only suggest I keep trying to reach the mfg and see if they had a suggestion. We ended up cutting out the wiring it came with (thus abandoning the lights entirely) purchased a new pump ($30) and set it up that way. Fountain with a pump that just plugs into the outdoor outlet. Works great. Looks great. Just wish the description came with the size/weight of the adapter/transformer as I think we would have figured it wouldn't work in our outdoor outlet.

I have had my fountain since Jun..it is a great accent to our yard. Wish it pointed more to the front, but it looks great in the dark..sure do like the "lite" feature. Sure like the price. most are way out of range.
